Uplift desk with Apple Studio Display and nano-texture Pro Display XDR
My desk is the Uplift V2 Standing Desk. When I moved and had space for my own office, I decided that I wanted a much wider desk with a motorized sit/stand mechanism, and a durable desk surface. I previously had a $3k Humanscale Float desk from Room and Board with a walnut top, which I loved but over time my mouse wore off the sealant on the top and it looked bad.
I ended up deciding on a desk from Uplift as they had an immense amount of sizes and options. I got their 72x30" desk with a laminate walnut top and no grommets (I absolutely hate them). I also installed a desk drawer and mounted an 8 outlet surge protector under the desk so there's only one cable to deal with: power.

My last desk was also an adjustable sit/stand desk, but it had a manual lever. I didn't think there would be much difference between a motorized and manual desk, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I find myself making lots of micro-adjustments to the height depending on how I'm sitting or standing throughout the day. A motorized desk makes this effortless.

My desk (before I added the XDR) with my custom LED light strip setup
I'm very happy with this desk and would recommend it to anyone looking for a motorized standing desk. However, there was one thing it was missing: ambient glow lighting. I set that up myself using a 12V LED strip, a Wi-Fi enabled LED controller, and a bit of soldering.
