The P9 was one of my earliest digital cameras. Sony was a force to be reckoned with when it came to point and shoot digital cameras in the early 2000s. The P9 here was just one of their many, many models and somewhere in the middle. Not a super thin model, and not a powerful model with a huge optical zoom, but it was perfect or most poeple. It had a whopping 4 megapixels, a rechargeable battery, 3x optical zoom, 1.5" LCD display, and was relatively small and pocketable.
Before this I had the AA-battery powered 2 megapixel DSC-P31, and then after this I had a lovely DSC-T1.
