Our new house gets pitch black at night without much street light seeping in. I went to Amazon to buy some much cheaper and uglier night lights but convinced myself to spend a little more and try Casper's take at a night light. I loved their other light, the Glow, despite having a fatal flaw.
I got a few of these Casper Glow Night Lights to spread throughout the house. And they're absolutely perfect. I know what you're thinking.. uh it's just a night light, what's the big deal? That's what I thought at first too...
- First off, they look nice and understated, with their white round shape and the way the light shines on the wall instead of pointing directly at you. No harsh light is key.
- Second, everything about them is subtle. When the room starts to get dark, they don't just turn on. They slowly brighten up as needed; not just on or off.
- Third, they have a motion sensor so they get brighter as you walk past them in the middle of the night. And of course it does that subtly as well, no instant jump in brightness to blind you. And when the motion sensor triggers, it doesn't immediately turn off the moment it detects you've left the room. It stays on for a moment.
- Fourth, the color temperature of the light it emits is just right.
I didn't know I could have so many thoughts about a night light, but these are great. I've got 4 now, and gifted a bunch to family and they love it as well.
