Some days I just get annoyed by the Apple Watch and its constant notifications and buzzing. Or going to put it on one morning and noticing that even though it was on the charging base it wasn't properly aligned and never actually charged. I wanted a super casual, no-frills watch for certain days. Some days that's my Moonswatch, but often I just want a cheap digital watch.
The Casio F-91W is the definition of no‑nonsense and has a cult-like following to match. One thing I only recently realized is how big a modding community there is for this watch. I'm not just talking about changing the strap (for which I have ordered a green fabric band for it). You can replace the entire board with a hackable one called the Sensor Watch Pro. You can modify the screen to invert the colors, or just add a touch of color. You can modify the backlight to be brighter or change the color. You can remove the labels from the bezel. Pretty impressive how much people are doing with this $20 watch.
