Oura Ring, Silver, 4th Gen
After more and more friends started wearing Oura Rings, I finally got one. It was mostly out of curiousity around wearable hardware devices as we're currently building a wearable hardware device at Limitless. The only thing I really find value in at this time is it's sleep tracking—it's comprehensive and the data is pretty interesting.
The ring itself, while a marvel of engineering for all that it can do in such a tiny package, is not the most comfortable thing to wear. It's still pretty bulky for my taste, even with this, their 4th generation model. The other annoying thing is that the least expensive model is also the flashiest, which is the silver chrome one. I really don't like wearing big shiny things like that, nor did I want to shell out another $50 for the brushed silver one.
It's been a few weeks and I've been wearing it pretty much 24/7, but since I only find value in the sleep data (for now), I predict I may only wear it at night going forward. The app has a lot of features I haven't fully explored yet, so maybe I'll find more value in other areas.
