A daytrip to Vancouver, British Columbia
After another week-long work trip to Seattle, I decided to go for a drive north to Canada on my last full day in town. I rented a Zipcar again and picked up my friend Sky as we drove the 2.5 hours to Vancouver.
Gastown
We were starving by the time we got to the city around 10:30am and wanted to find some brunch in the historical Gastown district.
Downtown Vancouver
Before heading a bit outside Vancouver to see some nature we stopped by the downtown waterfront and Stanley Park.
Capilano Suspension Bridge
Next, we took a 10 minute drive to see this suspension bridge and wander around the canopy in a coastal rainforest of Douglas-firs.
Sea to Sky Gondola
After Capilano we drove about an hour north to Squamish to visit the Sea to Sky Gondola and get a better view of the Howe Sound.
Tojo's Sushi
While we had some Wi-Fi at the Sea to Sky Gondola lodge I asked Twitter for some sushi restaurant recommendations. The top response was Tojo's so we swung by here for a last bite before the nighttime drive back to Seattle.
