I've had the first-generation Fellow Stagg electric gooseneck kettle since all the way back in 2017. I've definitely made over a thousand coffees and teas with it. I've even dropped it from a height by accident causing it to dent the bottom and it's still going strong.
While I haven't seen what the more recent versions of this kettle are like (including the nicer ones with wood handle and accents), I was initially a bit put off by some aspects of the build quality of this kettle:
- The cable used for the plug looks very cheap and far too thick compared to the nicer cable with plug handle on my Breville gear.
- The gap between the metal and plastic on the lid wasn't ideal
- The base build quality felt a lot to be desired
But despite those minor annoyances, which again was from the very first generation, I still highly recommend it. If I was in the market for an electric kettle today, I'd probably get their higher-end model, the EKG Pro Studio.
