Virb Invites

February 15, 2007 · 64 comments

I’ve got 5 beta invites for Virb, the up and coming social network that I am actually interested in. It’s being developed by Unborn Media – the same people that made PureVolume. First five comments with valid email addresses get them. If you don’t think you’ll actually use it, please say so in your comment. I’d like to only give invites out to people that really want to try it out. Thanks.

Looks pretty good, heard about Unborn Media working on something like this. I’m sure as hell interested in an invite. Thanks :)

Always love new social networks. I’ve basically narrowed down to Facebook, but I wouldn’t mind checking this out too.

Me please. Thanky.

This looks like it can compete with Facebook.

I would also like an invite if there are any left.

Darn, too late. Stupid backups… If you can get any more, I’d love to try it out.

Ive had this for a few weeks and it’s great. It’s everything MySpace should have been basically. Had very strong customization options, yet so beautiful still. I like how they built in Customization for dummies and also Customization for geeks (you can edit colors and other simple features using their interface or go all out and edit CSS, etc.)

It’s powerful and they’re adding new features fast. Yet I havent logged back in at least a week. Maybe it’s just me and perhaps I’m just growing out of it, but social networks aren’t what they used to be when I was younger (wtf Im only 21)…

I’ve sent all the invites I had, but I did email Unborn and see if they would be so awesome as to give me some more. I’ll let you know what transpires.

I’m smack dab in the middle of giving out some invites on my blog too. So don’t give me yours. But I wanted to comment anyways.

Paul if you need more invites to give away drop me a note. I’ve got 5 and don’t actually get “excited” like it sounds you do about social networks. I’ll gladly donate them to your next few readers who need them.

18 Piku February 16, 2007 at 3:14 am

If you have more then please invite me too.
The number of social networks is rapidly growing but I think over time not many will reach facebook/myspace status but will coexist together.
Maybe it’s time for niche social networks.

I received an invite and I agree- it’s probably the ONLY social networking site that I’ll actually ever use. I’m tired of the MySpace’ers and the Facebook’ers.. none of them are customizable like Virb. At least Virb lets you have one.
