I didn’t finish reading the article, so disregard this comment if its been answered. I hope this works when going from a PC to a Mac. I’m going to be getting a MacBook very close to the release date, and I’ll need to move my music to it.

cavemonkey: good point. It’s not been tested yested AFAIK, but I’d try the following if I were you:
- blank the @iTunes Library@ file on the Mac
- copy the @iTunes Music Library.xml@ (from the PC) revised with the updated filepaths (for the Mac)

I’ve updated the article (skip to the second last paragraph from the end) to note this.

We used to have a boring, ugly, and worthles PC. Then for my birthday, my mom got me a Mac. I was so excited to finally have a new, beautiful, white and clean computer. There’s so many activites to do on it. The only problem was that I needed to transfer all of my iTune music onto the Mac. My friends and family bought me 40.00 to spend just on the iTunes. Now I have to trnsfer it all?! I am not very good at ready directions, so if someone could set a few easier rules abput how to do it, that would help….. a lot!!!
