All you need to do is look at sales of the MacBook and MacBook Pro. I've never liked those names, but that didn't stop me from buying one. The only risk I see with Apple calling it the 'MacPhone' is that it would lower the brand recognizability of the phone because perspective buyers (who aren't already dedicated Apple customers) wouldn't really see the tie-in with Apple's iPod. For that reason, I wouldn't be surprised if Apple just called it the "iPod Phone" or something like that. Perhaps "iPod Mobile" could work too.
