How melancholic!

I too, sometimes have half finished blog posts that I don't want to waste, but really should have put them up sooner.

I'm an itunes groupie- I care about the emotion involved with music rather than the good sound quality- I'm quite happy with my tinny macbook speakers.

I don't think I would use it as I am really dedicated to Apple and iTunes. I just don't understand how they work with the copyright laws. Maybe I missed something?

Like everyone else, I think this looks pretty awesome. Its a shame Pownce never took off and ended up being bought out. There are still a few good music sites like this out, but this one definitely had some unique advantages.

Looks good, but seems pretty much like blip.fm which has been going a while now.

It's a shame to see that we will never see this in this form. But like reemix said, there are so many other competitor out there that it's hard to see how much of their potential can be fulfilled. And entering late into the game might effect the possibilities. Never the less, I hope to see more great things from the team.

That's pretty cool. I had no idea this was in store. Then again, there's quite a few web-based music sharing and listening sites on the web right now as it is, so perhaps it wouldn't have made a difference either way.

I found Pownce to be a very cool service, but often wondered what to use it for (kind of like the Evernote syndrome, where I couldn't figure out what to use it for, until one day it clicked and now I can't live without it). Pownce never got to that stage, which is a shame 'cause it had the potential, but I think they made the right choice to sell up. Hopefully, whatever new ideas the devs hinted at will come to fruition and be a success.

It's definetely a pain that Pownce was closed by 6A, but I guess they would have closed doors if they hadn't been sold...
