My friends have a new record label called Adrenalin Room and invited me out to shoot their launch party last weekend. Great turnout, great music and a great time to pull out the 50mm f/1.4 for some low-light shots.
AF is usually a pain in dark situations but I prefer the look of flash-less shots at events like this, so I only used my Speedlite for AF-light. You can disable the flash from firing in Menu > Tools 3 > External Speedlite control > Flash function settings > Flash firing (in a non-auto mode).
