PaulStamatiou.com Widget #3

January 11, 2007 · 3 comments

Reader Jason Sanzone made a nifty RSS widget for OS X users. You might recall that Anthony Deloso made a Yahoo! widget for pstam.com back in the summer, after I got my own OS X dashboard widget listed on Apple. Thanks Jason!

PaulStamatiou.com runs on the Thesis Theme for WordPress

How smart is your Theme? How good is your support? Check out ThesisTheme for WordPress.

Thesis is the search engine optimized WordPress theme of choice for serious online publishers. If you’re a blogger who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality without having to alter any code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.

With so many design options, you can use the template over and over and never have it look like the same site. The theme is robust and flexible enough not only to accommodate a site like PaulStamatiou.com, but also to enable the site to run far more efficiently than it ever has before.

Charging $27 for a widget you can make anyway with the free Dashcode app from Apple? What a rip-off. Shame on Jason Sanzone for degrading the quality and honesty of the independent mac developers.

Free Dashcode app: http://developer.apple.com/tools/dashcode/

Whilst your downloading things, why not get my RSS Widget, (made before Paul wrote about them, and dashcode existed), for lots more of me getting cross at idiots: http://wilcosworld.co.uk/about/widget/

Also Paul made me a widget for Typical Mac User Podcast http://www.typicalmacuser.com

It’s also on the Apple Site http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/blogs_forums/typicalmacuserpodcastwidget.html

Thanks Paul

I may just be a first time mac user but I don’t believe that your widget is still online. I’ve tried downloading it from Apple’s site numerous times but always get your 404 error page when trying so.
