Worked great for me, I just bought my Mac last night, and ran updates…couldn’t have been better timing!

I’m a switcher, is it usual for the Mac OS X Setup Assistant to run after I rebooted? This is a weird thing, since it acted like I had just installed Mac OS X, asking me to register.

Ran the update with no issues yet. Pierre, no setup assistant popped up on my end after the restart.

Hmm. I don’t think it was anything I did — but my system isn’t any worse from it. It’s running fine right now.

I’m going to be away from my comptuer for another 2 weeks, but I’m excited for this when I get back. My small icons on my desktop always space improperly and it really irks me. I hope this is the magic fix for it. :)

Yes, I will be glad when I can update to 10.4.7 on my PowerMac, it runs nicely on my MacBook. Plus, the programming lab at my former high school should benefit with the fix to files disappearing when duplicating (Cmd-D) them on AFP volumes (like user home directories).

I have a bug report open with Apple in regards to a USB issue, where a hub becomes unresponsive after waking from sleep until the computer is restarted. Anyways, it seems to be moving along, I got a response in under an hour, which is amazing considering I have to other bugs open that are almost a year old.

Oh, and happy belated birthday, by the way. :)
