New Apple TV Ads

May 1, 2006 · 12 comments

Check out these hilarious Apple ads that spoof the PC. My favorite is the networking one. I take it these are part of an updated ad campaign to replace the great “switch” commercials a few years ago. This collection is entitled Get a Mac.

PaulStamatiou.com runs on the Thesis Theme for WordPress

That’s awesome! I’d actually like to get a Mac but I know nothing about them.

These ads say it all when it comes to why people like me switched from PC’s to Mac and in my case even started my own podcasts.

I thought they were wonderful ads, IMHO.

I’m 50/50 PC/Mac guy. I love my new MBP but I also LOVE my custom-built desktop at home. I couldn’t see myself w/o my PC. Still not sure about if I could see myself w/o this MBP…

Does that mean I’m not 50/50?

That there is John Hodgeman, he has some of the best dry wit out there. He’s also a correspondent to the Daily Show,

ugh.

the one about viruses is slick enough. (here, let me blow your nose for you? haha) is this new japanese camera wifi? or is there some other way that it’s related to networking?

and, macs are more stubborn than they need to be for windows file sharing (you can’t just browse to windows shares, you need to do connect to server, and type smb://ip.add.re.ss).

and before you say anything about windows and AFP, remember that’s not an open protocol either.

Thanks for the link since I only saw half of the clips on TV. They’re entertaining to watch.

Did I miss the point? I was under the impression that setting up a network and connecting a digital camera were two totally different things.

Hey I’ve just watched these Apple adverts and not only are they clever, but absolutely hilarious.
But the most hilarious thing about them is that I can watch them perfectly on my old Dell PC (running windows XP), but my little iBook (G3) OS X 10.1 can’t play them ! Why ? Because Apple tell me that at six and a half years old this super little iBook is unsupported and obsolete and can’t download Safari. How Hilarious Is That ?
