Anyway roundcube supports remote IMAP hosts and ssl, and gmail supports remote IMAP clients with ssl, so configuring the two to work together *should* work, but I can’t seem to find the right settings as I keep getting “Connection to IMAP server failed”.

My current config is (which matches what gmail wants):
$rcmail_config['default_host'] = ’ssl://imap.gmail.com’;
$rcmail_config['default_port'] = 993;

Any ideas on configurations?

If you haven’t seen roundcube webmail yet, it’s an eye-candy web based email client based on IMAP protocol. The project has not released version 1.0 yet after two years but being actively developed. If you are interested, there is also……

the localhost is no more localhost, it is the name of the server where the sql database is situated.

I’m trying to setup roundcube with virtual users in postfix. From the guide, I don’t have a virtuser file for postfix and i’m thinking the database query might do the trick. Unfortunately, it seems that there is only one connection to the database and it’s the roundcube database, not the one containing the virtual users for postfix. I plan to add the tables of roundcube to the postfix virtual users database and see if this works. Anyone have luck with this? I need some opinion on what i’m about to do.

My only setback now is:

How will I be able to edit the login page so as to customize it with links images and html formats that will look better than its default homepage and that will allow for the users for many options such as naviagation, help, sign in and demo. And I would like to share my breakthroughs with the rest of the serious webmaestros that are on the net as well.

Where will I begin to edit the login page and from what file (or included file)?
