Google Zeitgeist 2005

September 27, 2005 · 1 comment

Google has secretly invited 400 big names in the tech community to attend a special meeting. Named “Google Zeitgeist ‘05: The Google Partner Forum,” attendees must sign a non-disclosure agreement form so whatever Google tells them is kept a secret. I also found out about this through episode 16 of CommandN. I believe that the attendees will be given a sneak peek at the new Google OS. Read the article on CNet.

PaulStamatiou.com runs on the Thesis Theme for WordPress

How smart is your Theme? How good is your support? Check out ThesisTheme for WordPress.

Thesis is the search engine optimized WordPress theme of choice for serious online publishers. If you’re a blogger who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality without having to alter any code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.

With so many design options, you can use the template over and over and never have it look like the same site. The theme is robust and flexible enough not only to accommodate a site like PaulStamatiou.com, but also to enable the site to run far more efficiently than it ever has before.

I doubt we’ll ever see a Google OS, since as far as Google is concerned, it already exists- your web browser. What we might see is new GApps – GCal, GWord, GNote, and perhaps even GFeed (think of the adsense there). Google seems to be all about web apps. But who knows, we’ll probably hear some interesting rumors.
