I think the default view is the best anyway. Played with it and then realised this. Not tried the grouping of sets as yet.

Peter – This is a very small step in the right direction, I’m amazed that anyone would have such a big reaction to this. I’m more amazed that you are paying for two photo services! Actually viewing photos in Organizr is much better IMO than the default.

Finally!!! This may be the single reason I may just use Flickr for now on instead of Smugmug. I currently use both pay services.

I think I was browsing flickr when the update went live. I refreshed my flickr page and was all like WTF.. I looked through the options and decided to stick with the default, but the choices are nice.

Are collections new? I thought they were there for a while, but they just gained some usefulness. Maybe it is new, not sure.

I actually think Flickr could be doing a lot more with their photo displaying and navigation than they are. As it is, I actually prefer viewing my photos using my vdh_flickr Txp plugin on my own site. That’s pretty sad for Flickr. Why not have an even smaller thumbnail size for the main viewing area? Although they have more features the actual navigation could use a major overhaul IMO.

I went with medium and sets but will be moving to collections as soon as I set some up. Collections is a cool addition

Ywah collections are sets of sets :P. However for the record collections are Pro account only.

It’s funny because I was going to blog about how Flickr has not been adding new features…

In addition to this they have also made it possible to be emailed when someone comments on your pictures. I don’t think this was an option before, but I could be very wrong about this.

Collections are like containers for sets, a type of hierarchial filing system for your photos.

Personally I’m sticking with the standard layout.
