Mozilla released a new version of Firefox today, version 1.5.0.2. While this release includes bug and security fixes as usual, the OS X version is now a Universal Binary, making it an imperative upgrade for Intel Mac users. I have been running the DeerPark beta of version 1.5.0.2 for about a month now just for its overall speediness as a UB. Download it for OS X here.

How’s the scrolling working for you? I can’t seem to adjust to Firefox on Mac. It’s just so slow scrolling with my scroll wheel compared to Firefox on Windows and Safari.
I had that problem with the older firefoxes but not this one.
does it fix the “right click on live bookmarks” thing gone?
no- the bug is still there.
the change is nothing major- not shocking (visually) like 1.5 was, ofcourse.
I’ve had problems with 1.5.0.2 crashing on one site – see http://www.amstelgoldrace.nl/index.php?PageID=25&versie=AGR&language=EN – the site works fine if I view it in a tab using the ‘IE Tab’ extension but crashes Firefox as soon as I enable the two javasripts and refresh if I view it in Firefox itself.
Sorry link in last post was wrong, it should have been http://www.amstelgoldrace.nl/index.php?PageID=80&language=EN&versie=AGRT
