In the smallest sense of the word, Facebook has expanded to include mobile phones today. Just visit m.facebook.com with your web-enabled phone to interact with the mobile-optimized site. I say “in the smallest sense of the word mobile” because it’s not adding much to the features and offerings. On the other hand, groovr is a social network I see as being highly mobile.. almost more mobile-oriented than not.

Speaking of which, Groovr has a ton of new features coming out soon (some debuting later tonight). Notable features include the ability to upload videos from your cameraphone and a major expansion of privacy settings.

This has been available and I’ve been using it for several months now. It’s nothing new.

Yeah, the basic page was around.. but today (if you click the Facebook link) they released a whole suite of mobile related things: mobile image uploading, mobile texts and a mobile page in facebook.

Will I access Facebook on my mobile? Probably not. It’s not a critical service anyway so I seriously wonder why do they even launched this.

I think all that’s new is the fact they added ‘My Mobile’ and threw a little note at the top of the home page for us to hide. As mentioned, I’ve been uploading and stuff for quite a while from m.facebook.com.
I for one enjoy the mobile version. It’s actually much easier. I can, in one screen, seen new messages, wall posts, pokes, etc. Great to kill some time with. Also great because it has a page dedicated to ‘contacts’. It lists all your friends and if they’ve listed their phone number/email address.

facebook mobile is a silly idea. who browses web sites from their phone???? not me.
i like the groovr site.. thanks for the reference. being able to tie into a specific place is a really neat idea!!! if this gets a bunch of users it will be much more useful than facebook
I’m just not that addicted to facebook to want to use it several times a day let alone on my mobile.

I dont have a computer at home, so dont have access over the weekends, so this is a nice way to keep an eye on friends and family, would like access to other applications tho, like scrabble and poker.
