I recently stumbled on a nifty site from del.icio.us popular. lab.rails2u.com/bgmaker takes in a few parameters and can instantly create a dynamic background for use anywhere.

Well, most people that have a striped background use Macromedia Fireworks… it has an template or whatever it’s called that gives you nice striped lines.
