All of the speculation and rumors turned out to be true. Today Apple launched a new, smaller 1GB version of the iPod Nano alongside a price-reduced Shuffle. The new Nano retails for $149 and draws in Shuffle users that want a sleek display. Just like the other iPods, the 1gig nano offered in white and black. This makes the 512MB Shuffle sell for only $69 with the 1GB Shuffle for sale at $99. Now might be the time for you to pick up that small music player for jogging. Either the Shuffle or 1GB Nano should fit the bill quite well (pun intended).

I find it very interesting this happened with no formal announcement. It makes me wonder what the Apple Special Event on February 22nd will hold.
Nice! I just picked up a 1Gig nano for $129 at apple’s educational storefront for my college (RIT).
