Another Firefox Post – RC1 is Out

September 26, 2006 · 12 comments

Release Candidate 1, not to be mistaken with last week’s post about the RC for RC1, for Firefox 2.0 will be available here by 3PM Pacific time today. Mozilla states that this release candidate is very close to what a final product would look and perform like.

Yeah they put it up around 5pm EST. I haven’t been able to tell the difference between them yet. No crashes or anything though.

You might have to wait until Firefox 3.0 for them to fix that bug. =)

This may sound dumb, but what is Apple+Tilda supposed to do?

Josue are you referring to Beta 2 or RC1 for RC1 (last week’s post)? If you’re talking about Beta 2, then yes it is completely different and looks much better.

Ronald,

By pressing the Apple key and the Tilde key (~) allows you to cycle open windows within a program; this is the case for most applications, but in this case Firefox 2.0 RC1 does not work with this little-known Apple function. :)

Actually, apple+tilde seems to work for me in FF2.0 RC1. Is it just Dimitry?

Yeah, that works for me also. I wasn’t sure if was supposed to do something else because I use it all the time.

Dear Mozilla,

Thank you SO much for making the clickable area on the toolbar buttons bigger. My poor hand-eye coordination thanks you.

Love forever and always,

Brian XOXOXO
