Those 7200 rpm drives like to be cooled... They also make these <a href="http://www.apricorn.com/product_detail.php?type=family&id=5" rel="nofollow">very cool little portable drives</a> based on the same size (1.8") drives as the big iPods - they come from 30 - 80 GB with a fold out USB connector.
