Finals Week: Fall 2007 Edition
It’s that time of year again. I will be locked away in my room studying for several finals and completing various class projects as this semester comes to an end. Naturally, it will be a little stagnant here for a while. Good luck to the students out there also coping with finals. As usual with finals week, I pack up whatever big monitor is taking up space on my desk and stash it away to keep me focused and reclaim most of my desk.
I have 3 finals and another class has a large project instead of a final. I just wrapped up a discrete math/proofs for computer scientists final this afternoon, have a HCI/UI Design final tomorrow and then a computing, society & professionalism final on Wednesday with 2 projects for an educational technology computer science class due Thursday and Friday.
After all that’s done I’m flying out to NYC to do IT work for a client, and then I come home for what’s left of my winter break. I won’t have much time of my own in NYC, but if you live in the area leave a comment just in case I have the time to arrange some sort of impromptu meetup.
That’s one lovely finals schedule you have there. How was your educational tech class? I have to write a 10-pager by Friday on that.

Finals week at Penn State doesn’t start until next week. My finals are: Discrete Math, Differential Equations, Intermediate Programming, and Intro to Probability Theory. As a math major, I know this isn’t going to be easy, but I just look forward to the end of next week when I’m all done!

Ugh. My discrete math exam is in 6 hours. Then on Wednesday I have French and Operating Systems, followed by a paper and exam due for a Environment course on Friday.
I guess you don’t study with such a poor illumination on the desk… you’ll be blind before 30.

I had finals four weeks ago (quarter system at RIT). I am already in my second week of second quarter. Anyway, good luck with your finals!

Good Luck with those finals with ridiculously long titles haha, thats the one thing people can’t make fun of Art majors for….I can only have 3 finals at most a semester because of studios…

Management of Information Systems yesterday. Intro to Financial Markets today. Intro to Marketing on Thursday. Intro to Ethics and Managerial Accounting on Friday.
Don’t be fooled by the word “intro.”
Calculator, pen, pencil, 2 bluebooks, 5 scantrons, and about 100 pages of notes later I will be able to enjoy some time off!
Yep, gotta love crunch time. Especially when you find out that one final includes generously sized essays!

I just noticed you go to GA Tech; I was there two days ago to finish my research project. Small world, I just graduated from GA State.
discrete math, remember that from a few years back (computer science, ul, ireland) very happy that i don’t have to do that again. hci, now that was a subject i enjoyed. best of luck.
