Google Releases “Docs & Spreadsheets”
Google has merged its separate Writely and spreadsheets web applications into Google Docs & Spreadsheets. The new service will further Google’s strength as an online office suite, currently competing with Zoho.

All that talk that Google’s interested in supporting the Mac platform is nonsense when we always have to wait or be forced to download another browser to use for Google’s services.
Funny, I just clicked on the link today at the top of my Gmail, and now you say its new as of today. I thought it was always there. I’m getting to love Google how they have all those links at the top of the page all tied to your Google account, and all very useful things at that.
my friend the google groupie thinks this is wicked cool and “introduced” me to it. but I had tried to get him on board with writely… The interface is oh-so google now.
Hey Paul, do you know if there is any talk about google doing some kind of free presentation program to compete with powerpoint? I am preparing a lecture for a couple weeks from now and would like to use something other than PP, do you have any recommendations? Thanks.

We used this for our Palm Users Group Meeting last Saturday here in Nashville, TN. Used it to compare all the different Palm devices out there on the market today.
