The Inquirer talks about a new Lexar USB stick that features eInk (also referred to as ePaper) to display drive usage. This comes straight out of the I can't believe they didn't think of that earlier category. Unlike a conventional LCD, eInk requires absolutely no electricity to retain and display its current value. So your USB stick will always show you how much storage space is used no matter how long it's been since you last plugged it in. Lexar will offer it in 1 and 2 gigabyte variants.
