2005 is just wrapping up and it has been a great year. Notable events such as the quiet launch of this blog and my first digg to surpassing of over 350,000 hits (leave comments/vote there if you wish). I have published countless how to articles, picked up a Nano, was featured on commandN, met the Digg guys, partnered up with (mt) was accepted into the 9rules network and finally got my hands on that 20″ Apple Cinema Display. Michael Heilemann also made me an admin on the Binary Bonsai forums, home to almost 1,000 K2 enthusiasts, where I spend most of my time on the internet.

This year has also been well at school. I moved into a 4 person suite with friends that lived in my dorm hall last year and met some great new people. I conquered the evils of Calculus 3 and Physics after having switched from a Computer Engineering Major to Computational Media mid-semester. I remain near undefeated in air hockey against my roommate Chris who always challenged me to a game after Calculus 3 recitation. I blew through my BuzzCard funds eating the same thing at Pandini’s every day after classes.

So what do I plan to do in 2006? Academically, two classes dealing with media and culture, a programming for hardware/game consoles/pda class, a proof constructing class (will likely drop this one) and health. Blogwise, I hope to become a Top 100 blogger. I know, it’s a lofty goal but that’s what New Year’s resolutions are for. It might even be possible, I’m ranked around 900 on Technorati, having made my way up from rank of over 100,000. I still need to figure out if I will be taking classes this summer, but if not I plan on applying for an internship or job. However, most likely I’d fancy working at the Apple Store in Houston :-D.

I would like to thank everyone that has ever visited this site, and especially those people that type my name in get here. I really wish I could get my hands on paul.com but some guy is currently only using for email. This blog is all about you guys. You incite lively discussion in the comments and send over great suggestions. I’ve received over 500 suggestions from everyone this year! Keep it up. I’ve try to personally reply to every email and I do believe that I’ve done that well. So I ask you one more thing, what would you like to see on this blog in 2006? The same great stuff or a slight change in direction to allow for a new type of content? I am almost to the point where I am satisfied with the design, but as you can see I have a penchant for changing something every few weeks. I’ve got some great things envisioned for this site in 2006, but you’ll just have to stay tuned to see what I mean by that. I wish everyone a happy, safe and fulfilling holiday and if you’re going out to party make sure you have a designated driver. I’ll see you in 2006!
