   (emphasis mine) I’m fairly certain I read Michael on Binary Bonsai saying he agreed with Chris that the term “mod” was more proper for K2 since it’s much more than a theme. It’s been a while though, and I may be wrong after all. Anyway, just a minor detail I wanted to note.

3. I’m pretty sure a possible mislabeling of K2 wouldn’t cause anathemas from Michael’s part. That wasn’t what I implied anyway! As I said, merely noting a minor detail.

5. I currently use the K2 theme and I love it. And I like your “mod” of that mod. :0)

   Anyways, I like the vertical white lines on the menu bar links when moused over. But the fact that they move the entire menu bar down I think is bad. I understand the background is a gradient image, so you can’t exactly have a background-colored line on either side of a menu item when its not moused over. Maybe you can add padding when its not active, and remove it on mouse over when the lines are added?

   For instance, when you move horizontally across the menus items, there is a small gap between each one (that comes from K2). But the shifting of the menu make the whole menu jitter as you move along it.

   Nice mod.

9. Why don’t I have thoose cool icons next to the comment no. and how do I get the tag cloud / add tags to my posts? This next one is a bit unrelated but how do I add a read on to my posts so it won’t be really long on the homepage, like you did?

11. Balazs, to truncate posts use <!- -more- ->. The cool icons are part of the mod, if you scroll down in the read me, I show you how to install them. It’s a simple line edit in theloop.php. Tag cloud, tags are all courtesy of the Ultimage Tag Warrior plugin.

    Eli, I could never get ExplorerDestroyer to work O_O. I tested it out and some people said it work and some said it didn’t. Regardless, adding that much code into the header files increases load times a decent amount so I was always just playing around with it.

12. Paul, it doesn’t work for me. Regarding the technorati icon, i have tried editing thelop.php and what was mentioned on the flickr page but it didn’t solve it for me. :(

1. [...] I am back though and thought some changes were in order. As you can see, we have successfully upgraded to WP 2.0 and K2 Beta One 133 today. I also stopped using Deviance for the time being (still not sure if Paul’s current release is compatible or not), which also means that I am back to the cookie cutter template that others like me live and die with. I’ve also touched up some of the sidebar clutter (removed the ads, left the referral) and moved the Asides back over. [...]
