I have not looked into using an external feed service. How does changing from the feed built into your WordPress install make it easier to keep track of people?

Also, you need to update the RSS links at the bottom of your site

Jeff: FeedBurner is a great service that allows you to view many stats on your feed through their online interface. Without it, I don’t really have an idea of how many subscribers I have.
