Google Zeitgeist 2005

Sep 27, 2005 in , ,

Google has secretly invited 400 big names in the tech community to attend a special meeting. Named “Google Zeitgeist ‘05: The Google Partner Forum,” attendees must sign a non-disclosure agreement form so whatever Google tells them is kept a secret. I also found out about this through episode 16 of CommandN. I believe that the attendees will be given a sneak peek at the new Google OS. Read the article on CNet.

  1. I doubt we’ll ever see a Google OS, since as far as Google is concerned, it already exists- your web browser. What we might see is new GApps - GCal, GWord, GNote, and perhaps even GFeed (think of the adsense there). Google seems to be all about web apps. But who knows, we’ll probably hear some interesting rumors.
