With the major release of the widely used blog publishing platform, WordPress, very near there are some things you should know before getting rough and tumble with the new features. Aaron Brazell posted a great list of the 10 most important things a blogger should know about WordPress 2.0 over at problogger.net. Heresay is that WordPress 2.0 comes out tomorrow, the 26th, so read up. Some of the list highlights are that WP2 has built in database caching, image uploading on the edit page, and bundled Akismet anti-spam. I already use Akismet and know how indispensable it has become.
PaulStamatiou.com runs on the Thesis Theme for WordPress
Thesis is the search engine optimized WordPress theme of choice for serious online publishers. If you’re a blogger who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality without having to alter any code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.
With so many design options, you can use the template over and over and never have it look like the same site. The theme is robust and flexible enough not only to accommodate a site like PaulStamatiou.com, but also to enable the site to run far more efficiently than it ever has before.

I like what he says about not using the rich editor… It just seems a little bit weird to me, I like the old interface.
I still hand code everything, I don’t use any quick tags.
Wordpress is going places, and it’s ironic that Safari still can’t handle the WP post editing buttons. I kinda dread WP 2.0 because its one more version which I’ll have more trouble updating to with my favorite old theme, Human Condition.
I agree with Kevin here. I just got my K2 installation looking ideal, (with the help of deviance, Paul) so I’m definitely going to wait at least 6 months before even attempting to upgrade.
